Floren at Shawnee Park

Creating a brand for life between park and city.

Project Overview

Floren is a six-storey, purpose-built rental building in Shawnee Park, located next to Fish Creek Provincial Park and within walking distance of the Fish Creek–Lacombe LRT station. Working as a subcontractor for Anstice Communications, Heyya Brands developed the name, brand identity and full suite of marketing materials needed to bring the property to market.

The Challenge

Floren needed to stand out in Calgary's competitive rental market while clearly communicating what makes its location unique. Proximity to Fish Creek Provincial Park gave the brand a strong lifestyle advantage — but it also needed to reflect the building's contemporary design, professional management, and easy connection to transit and the city.

The Process

The positioning was built around Park-to-Platform Living: a lifestyle where nature and city connection are both part of the everyday experience. The name Floren, derived from the Latin for "to flourish" suggests growth, vitality, and forward momentum. A place designed to thrive alongside nature, not apart from it. The identity emphasizes the letters "flo" within the wordmark, reinforcing ideas of movement, and finding your flow. Natural landscapes, lifestyle photography, and botanical textures come together to create a visual world that feels calm, grounded, and connected.

We collaborated with Nice One on copywriting and Alpine UX on website development in Webflow.

The Results

A place to flourish, inside and out.

Floren launched with a cohesive brand that clearly communicates its defining advantage: contemporary living with nature outside the door and the city within reach.

The identity and art direction create a consistent experience across print, digital, signage, and leasing materials, while the website brings the property's story, amenities, floor plans, and location together in an intuitive leasing experience.
